Germany look to maintain their 100 percent record as they host Azerbaijan

Germany vs Azerbaijan
Germany play Azerbaijan in World Cup 2018 Qualifiers
Germany will host Azerbaijan on Sunday night as qualification to next years World Cup comes to an end. The Germans go into this game as the favorites.

Kick-off : 8:45 PM (Local)

Venue : Fritz-Walter-Stadion, Kaiserslautern

It will not be much of a test against Azerbaijan for Germany as they take on a team which is lying almost at the bottom of their group.

They will be disappointed the Azerbaijani’s after their defeat to the Czech Republic at home. They are now on the cusp of two successive defeats as they take on the World Champions.

Germany scored four goals when they visited Azerbaijan earlier in the qualifying. It will be a bit of a worrying signs for the Caucasus nation as they make a trip to Germany.

Die Mannschaft have so far scored 38 goals in the qualifying and have conceded just three. So no doubt they will be high on confidence.

Team news and possible line-ups

Azerbaijan is unlikely to make many changes for this game. Gara Garayev is likely to come into the line-up.

Rahid Amirguliev will make way for the defensive midfielder. While Ramil Sheydaev is also likely to be given a start in place of Ruslan Gurbanov.

As for Germany, Toni Kroos will be unavailable for Sunday’s game as due to injury. Joachim Low has also confirmed that their will be some changes for the game as they have already qualified.

Julian Brandt and Bernd Leno might be given a chance in this game.

Azerbaijan XI : Agaev, Medvedev, Sadygov, Guseynov, Khalilzade, Richard, Garayev, Izmailov, Aleskerov, Madatov, Sheydaev.

Germany XI : Leno, Rudiger, Mustafi, Sule, Kimmich, Can, Goretzka, Sane, Draxler, Brandt, Stindl.

Prediction

It’s not hard to say that Germany will win this game, but the question is by how much. I think they will win 4-0.
