Barcelona play PSG in their UEFA Champions League encounter in midweek

FC Barcelona and PSG go head-to-head on Wednesday in the UCL as the tournament moves it’s final phases. Both teams will be looking for a win here.

Kick-off : 9:00 PM (Local)

Venue : Parc des Princes, Paris

Barcelona did well to get this far in the Champions League but it remains still a big aim to fulfil up the hopes of the fans that they will lift the trophy. They need to do the things required by a champion side that they are.

Barca got past Napoli in the Round of 16 tie as they aggregated a 4-2. They shall now be ready for the quarter-final hurdle which they first tackle it up in the French capital.

Manager Xavi and captain Roberto will aim for the planned tactical formations’ execution.

Own the other hand, PSG too have been fabulous in reaching thus far in the competition. But they shall now erase of past failures and look for a new beginning.

Les Parisiens got past another Spanish team in Real Sociedad in the Round of 16 on aggregate 4-1 basis. It should be straightforward in front of home fans against juggernauts Barca.

Manager Luis Enrique will eye his used up 4-3-3 probably on Wednesday.

Team news and possible lineups

Kylian Mbappe is available and should play. Whereas Presnel Kimpembe, Layvin Kurzawa and Sergio Rico are all out injured. Also Achraf Hakimi is suspended.

On the other hand, Barcelona have Gave and Alejandro Balde injured.

PSG XI : Donnarumma, Zaire-Emery, Marquinhos, Skriniar, Mendes, Lee, Ugarte, Vitinha, Dembele, Ramos, Mbappe.

Barcelona XI : Ter Stegen, Kounde, Cubarsi, Araujo, Cancelo, De Jong, Gundogan, Lopez, Yamal, Lewandowski, Raphinha.

I think Barcelona will aim for a triumph in opposition territory despite PSG being the favoured team. I can envisage a 1-1.
