Italy look for three points as they visit Albania

Italy vs Albania
Italy will play Albania on Monday in the 2018 World Cup qualifiers
Italy and Albania are set to play each other on Monday night as qualifying for next year’s FIFA world Cup comes to a close. Italy go into this game as the favorites.

Kick-off : 8:45 PM (Local)

Venue : Loro Borici Stadium, Shkoder

The Italians can’t do much in the group to dethrone the Spanish from the top, but they can hope for a good play-off draw.

Italy slumped to a draw against Macedonia in their last game and this down their Morales a bit. But it is a new generation of players and they are learning everyday.

On the other hand, Albania were always behind Italy and Spain in this group and so they will finish third in this group. Them dropping five points against Israel and Macedonia were also not very positive.

It should be a good game on Monday with both teams giving their all.

Team news and possible line-ups

Albanian coach Christian Panucci will be without goalkeeper Thomas Strakosha and midfielder Amir Abrashi in this match.

Otherwise it’s a fit squad to choose from. Elseid Hysaj will be their key man in this game as he has experience playing in Serie A.

As for Italy, Andrea Barzagli will be unavailable due to injury. Coach Gian Piero Ventura has also left out a number of high-profile names.

Ciro Immobile will be their key man going into this game and Italy will depend a lot on him scoring.

Albania XI : Berisha, Hysaj, Versli, Ajeti, Balliu, Xhaka, Kace, Memushaj, Grezda, Memolla, Llullaku.

Italy XI : Donnarumma, Chiellini, Rugani, Bonucci, D’Ambrosio, Gagliardini, Cristante, Darmian, Bernadeschi, Insigne, Immobile.

Prediction

Seeing the Italians drawing against Macedonia, It should be a tough match away at Albania. But I think Italy will win this match two goals to one.
