Liverpool will take on Shrewsbury on Tuesday in 2019/20 FA Cup 4th Round Replays as the tournament moves ahead. The Reds go into this game as the favourites.

Kick-off : 7:45 PM (Local)

Venue : Anfield, Liverpool

Liverpool are heading towards a Premier League title in the modern era. They would like to win elsewhere and FA Cup is one of them.

The Reds weren’t able to win against Shrewsbury Town in their own backyard and hence a replay to see the winner.

But for fans it’s not good news as it will be Liverpool’s Under-23 side that will feature not the first-team players. In fact Neil Critchley will be the manager and not Jurgen Klopp as they take the winter break.

Nonetheless a better performance will be expected and not the same drubbing which this side received in the EFL Cup at the hands of Aston Villa (5-0).

On the other hand, Shrewsbury Town will be pleased by their efforts to deny Liverpool the first time they met last month.

The Shrews will also be boosted by the fact that they will take on a weakened Liverpool side and not the first-team.

Sam Ricketts though know they are struggling in League One and recent two losses in the league says it all. They need to be at their best.

Team news and possible lineups

Jason Cummings is available for Shrewsbury Town for the Liverpool game and will be in the starting XI.

While Dave Edwards will be hopeful of keeping his place in midfield.

As for The Reds, Caoimhin Kelleher will be in between the sticks for them.

Shrewsbury XI : O’Leary, Ebanks-Landell, Pierre, Beckles, Love, Laurent, Walker, Golbourne, Whalley, Cummings, Lang.

Liverpool XI : Kelleher, Hoever, Van den Berg, Boyes, Larouci, Dixon-Bonner, Chirivella, Jones, Elliott, Longstaff, Hill.

Prediction

It will be a tricky game for Liverpool but I expect them to win 1-0.
