Liverpool look for three points against Tottenham at Wembley

Liverpool vs Tottenham
Liverpool will play Tottenham on Sunday in the Premier League
Liverpool are set to play Tottenham on Sunday in the Premier League as the new season moves ahead. Both teams will be looking for three points.

Kick-off : 3:00 PM (Local)

Venue : Wembley Stadium, Wembley

Tottenham haven’t beaten Liverpool in five years and so it will be an uphill task on Sunday for them.

Spurs beat Arsenal, Chelsea, Man United and Man City last season but failed to beat Liverpool. In fact since November 2012 they have not beaten them.

Spurs though drew recently with Real Madrid  at the Bernabeu and will be confident going into this game.

As for Liverpool, they are in fine form at the moment and except for that drubbing against Man City 5-0 they have been decent this season.

The Reds also come on back of a 7-0 win over Maribor in the Champions League. They will be in a positive frame of mind now.

Team news and possible line-ups

Victor Wanyama and Mousa Dembele are doubtful for Sunday’s game and Pochettino is worried about it.

Other than that they have a full squad to choose from.

As for Liverpool, Jordan Henderson is available and will play on Sunday meaning that James Milner will miss out.

Whereas goalkeeper Simon Mignolet will return as will Joe Gomez. Rest of the squad remains the same for Jurgen Klopp.

Tottenham XI : Lloris, Sanchez, Dier, Alderweireld, Trippier, Sissoko, Winks, Eriksen, Vertonghen, Son, Dele, Kane.

Liverpool XI : Mignolet, Gomez, Matip, Lovren, Moreno, Wijnaldum, Henderson, Can, Salah, Firmino, Coutinho.

Prediction

While it’s not a given that Liverpool will win on Sunday but they certainly go into the game as the favorites. But I expect this game to be a draw. I think it will end 2-2. The goalscorers could be Firmino and Coutinho for the Reds and Kane and Dele for Spurs.
