Liverpool in quest for three points at Anfield

The Reds look for three points
Liverpool take on Crystal Palace on Saturday
The Reds are set to play Crystal Palace on Saturday when they meet in the Premier League. Liverpool are the favorites to get the three points.

Kick-off : 2:00 PM BST

Venue : Anfield, Liverpool

Referee : Kevin Friend

Liverpool started their 2017/18 Premier League season with a game against Watford last Saturday. The points were shared in that game as it was a 3-3 draw. Jurgen Klopp wouldn’t want a repeat of that performance.

Frank de Boer had a worst possible start to the season as Crystal Palace lost to newcomers Huddersfield Town at home. They would want to improve on that performance quickly.

Palace have won each of their previous three visits to Anfield – by an aggregate score of 7-1 including this summer’s pre-season game.

The Dutchman will require more of that performance, else pressure will start to mount at Selhurst Park.

Team news and possible line-ups

Wilfried Zaha is expected to miss a month after damaging his right knee against Huddersfield, which is a big blow. He might return mid September in a game against Burnley.

Andros Townsend could start in Zaha’s place. While Yohan Cabaye might feature for Crystal Palace.

Philippe Coutinho despite transfer rumors, might just start for Liverpool if Klopp wishes. Nathaniel Clyne and Daniel Sturridge are unlikely to feature against Crystal Palace on Saturday.

Liverpool XI : Mignolet, Alexander-Arnold, Matip, Lovren, Moreno, Can, Henderson, Wijnaldum, Salah, Firmino, Mane.

Crystal Palace XI : Hennessey, Milivojevic, Dann, Riedewald, Fosu-Mensah, Loftus-Cheek, Cabaye, Van Aanholt, Townsend, Benteke, Lokilo.

Prediction

Last Saturday wasn’t a very good start for Crystal Palace and Liverpool respectively. They were both denied three points. Now the time has come both clubs to kick start their Premier League 2017/18 campaign in a positive way. I think for that case it should be a high scoring game with Liverpool edging Palace 4-2.
