Germany and France meet in Cologne

Germany vs France
Germany play France on Tuesday night in an International Friendly
Germany are all set to play France in an International Friendly on Tuesday night in Cologne. Both teams will be looking for a win.

Kick-off : 8:45 PM (Local)

Venue : RheinEnergieStadion, Cologne

Germany were pretty average in their display on Friday night against England as the drew 0-0. They will certainly need to raise the bar on Tuesday night against France.

Since getting eliminated in the Euro’s last year by France, Germany are undefeated till now. The game on Tuesday is another opportunity for the Germans to assert dominance.

The French side though are having a lot of talent at their disposal. Their attacking line is specially dangerous and contain the likes of Anthony Martial and Kylian Mbappe.

France were good in their display against Wales and won the game 2-0. They have been scoring goals a lot recently.

So far Germany and France have played 28 games. Out of that Germany have won 10 games and the French have won 13, 5 games have resulted in a draw.

Team news and possible line-ups

France will be tempted to rest three of their players in Olivier Giroud, Antoine Griezmann and Kylian Mbappe and replace them by Nabil Fekir, Martial and Lacazette.

While Lucas Digne, Adrion Rabiot and Moussa Sissoko will be hoping for a place in starting XI as well.

As for Germany, Mario Gotze, Lars Stindl and Bernd Leno will be hoping of a place in the starting XI after being benched against England.

Whereas Timo Werner will once again start upfront.

France XI : Mandanda, Varane, Umtiti, Koscielny, Digne, Matuidi, Sissoko, Griezmann, Lacazette, Mbappe, Martial.

Germany XI : Ter Stegen, Rudiger, Hummels, Kimmich, Halstenberg, Kroos, Ozil, Gotze, Draxler, Khedira, Werner

Prediction

Both teams are equal on paper but I think Germany have the home advantage. I expect World Champions Germany to win 2-1 against France.
