Germany yesterday displayed some disappointing soccer as they succumbed to a 2-4 defeat to Holland in Hamburg. Netherlands should be happy with a win to rivals Germany in their homeland.

Germany are now 2nd in the points table after four games with nine points. They have lost their winning streak in this qualification campaign.

Holland on the other hand are 3rd in the points table after three games with six points.

Northern Ireland still top the group with four wins out of four. Although they are yet to play both Germany and Holland.

Talking about the game it was won by Holland right in the end because it was all square before that for some time. Georginio Wijnaldum need to be credited with his amazing goal.

Serge Gnabry put the Germans right in front in the first half with a goal in just the ninth minute. After that The Netherlands chased the game.

No more goals were scored in the first half despite both teams trying for a goal. Soon we heard the half-time whistle from the ref.

Lot to ponder for Ronald Koeman during the break as Low and his men should have been thinking of finding a way to take Holland out of the game.

Second half then begun with Holland threatening to equalise which they eventually did through Frankie de Jong’s goal in the 59th minute.

Both teams on same page as Germans looked to find the winner now so that the home game becomes one to remember. But The Netherlands had other thoughts.

Jonathan Tah scored an own goal against the Dutch pressure as the clock struck the 66th minute of the game. The Germans now trailing.

But a penalty was awarded which Toni Kroos converted in the 73rd minute. It seemed it might end this way but newcomer Donyell Malen scored with ten minutes to go in the game.

Wijnaldum did the rest of the damage for Holland to claim a fantastic win over Germany in Germany. A day to remember for Dutch football.

Both teams have their next Euro 2020 qualifying games coming up soon. Germany will play Northern Ireland and Netherlands will play Estonia.
