United look for three points away against Spurs

Manchester United will play Tottenham Hotspur on Wednesday in the Premier League
Man United are set to play Tottenham Hotspur on Wednesday in the Premier League as the season moves ahead. Both teams will be looking for three points.

Kick-off : 8:00 PM (Local)

Venue : Wembley Stadium, London

Manchester United are currently second in the points table after 24 games with 53 points. They trail table toppers and rivals Manchester City by 12 points. They know they will need to keep winning games and need City to drop points to win the League.

United are currently in a good form and are winning games. They will need to carry on the winning momentum on Wednesday night against Spurs.

On the other hand, Tottenham Hotspur are currently fifth in the points table after 24 games with 45 points. They are long way off the top and will need a miracle to win the league this term.

Tottenham drew with Newport County in the FA Cup at the weekend. They will need to up their game against United on Wednesday.

So far Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur have played each other on 157 occasions. Out of that United have won 81 times while loosing 36 times, 40 other games have been a draw.


Team news and possible line-ups

Serge Aurier, Christian Eriksen, Harry Winks and Erik Lamela are all doubtful for Tottenham ahead of the United game. While Danny Rose remains sidelined.

As for United, Daley Blind, Eric Bailly and Zlatan Ibrahimovic will not be available for Wednesday game. While Alexis Sanchez is available and will likely play.

Tottenham Hotspur XI : Lloris, Trippier, Alderweireld, Vertonghen, Sanchez, Wanyama, Dier, Sissoko, Dembele, Heung-Min, Kane.

Manchester United XI : De Gea, Lindelof, Jones, Rojo, Smalling, Pogba, Lingard, Young, Herrera, Lukaku, Sanchez.

Prediction

It will be close game but I think United will come out on top. I expect the Red Devils to win 2-1.
