Chelsea are set to play Bournemouth on Wednesday in the Premier League as the season moves ahead. The Blues go into this game as the favorites.

Kick-off : 7:45 PM (Local)

Venue : Stamford Bridge, London

Chelsea are currently third in the points table after 24 games with 50 points. They trail table toppers Manchester City by 15 points. Chelsea will need to keep winning games and hope luck is on their side to defend their League title.

Chelsea defeated Newcastle at the weekend in the FA Cup and will be confident ahead of the Bournemouth game.

On the other hand, Bournemouth are currently in the bottom half of the table with just 25 points from 24 games. They will be aiming to get positive results and stay out of danger.

Bournemouth drew with West Ham the last time they played in the Premier League. They will need to up their game against the Blues.

So far Chelsea and Bournemouth have played each other six times. Out of that the Blues have won on five occasions while loosing just once. Their is yet to be a draw between them.

All in all it should be a good game on Wednesday night as both teams will give their all.

Team news and possible line-ups

Harry Arter is doubtful for Chelsea ahead of the midweek game. While Jermain Defoe and Tyrone Mings remain sidelined.

As for Chelsea, Thibaut Courtois, Willian, Alvaro Morata and Cesc Fabregas are all doubtful for the Wednesday night game.

Bournemouth XI : Boruc, Francis, S. Cook, Ake, Daniels, Gosling, Surman, Pugh, L. Cook, Afobe, Wilson.

Chelsea XI : Caballero, Rudiger, Cahill, Christensen, M. Alonso, Zappacosta, Kante, Drinkwater, Hazard, Pedro, Batshuayi.

Prediction

I think seeing Chelsea’s current form, they should get over the line against Bournemouth. I expect them to get a routine victory on Wednesday night. They might win 2-0.
