Manchester United will host Chelsea on Thursday in the Premier League

Manchester United and Chelsea Square off for the second time in PL 2021/22 as the season nears it’s conclusion. Both teams will be looking for a win here.

Man United are eyeing European places and it will depend on them where they reach by the end of the campaign if they aim high. They need to play their brand of football.

United are currently sixth in the points table after 34 games with 54 points. They trail Gunners by 6 points having played a game more.

Talking about their midweek opponents in PL, Chelsea, boss Ralf Rangnick might use a 4-2-3-1 system. They will have to be defensively solid and try to score.

United have three more games left in the Premier League after this, against Brentford, Brighton & Crystal Palace.

On the other hand, The Blues want more affirmation in their top three spot. They will play remaining games to ceal it.

Chelsea are currently third in the points table with 65 points after 32 games.

Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel uses the 3-4-1-2 system to good effect and he will require it all against a formidable United side.

The London outfit have five more Premier League games after this against Everton, Wolves, Leeds, Leicester & Watford.

Prediction

I think Chelsea have been scoring in recent matches abundantly whereas United have struggled of late. So a Blues win coming maybe 1-0.
