Manchester United take on Nottingham Forest on Tuesday in the Premier League

Manchester United take on Nottingham Forest on Tuesday in Premier League 2022/23 as the season moves ahead. Man United come into this game as the favourites.

Kick-off : 8:00 PM (Local)

Venue : Old Trafford, Manchester

Manchester United have not had an ideal campaign thus far in the Premier League and will be hoping to truly get the campaign underway for the top spot. They are currently 5th in the points table after 14 games with 26 points. The goal difference is nil.

The Red Devils apart from the EFL Cup success over Burnley in the Round of 16 lost both December friendlies. In the Premier League though this season they have been defending not bad. And on the attacking front they have been getting the goals as they move forward.

Boss Erik ten Hag will go with his 4-2-3-1 formation on Tuesday.

On the other hand, Nottingham Forest have had a poor campaign thus far in the Premier League and are 19th in the points table with 13 points from 15 games. They have a goal difference of -19.

The Tricky Trees made December great by making it to the next round of the EFL Cup as they overcame Blackburn Rovers 4-1 in the round of 16. But other than that they have been loosing in the December friendlies. In the Premier League defending this season they have been eating up goals and will need to correct that. On the attacking front they have scored and will need to continue doing so.

Under boss Steve Cooper they will align in a 4-3-3 formation.

Team news and possible lineups

Omar Richards, Giulian Biancone, Cheikhou Kouyate & Moussa Niakhate are all out injured for Notts Forest.

As for United, Axel Tuanzebe is out injured. While Diogo Dalot remains a doubt.

Manchester United XI : De Gea, Wan-Bissaka, Lindelof, Maguire, Shaw, Casemiro, Eriksen, Antony, Fernandes, Rashford, Martial.

Nottingham Forest XI : Hennessey, Williams, Worrall, Boly, Toffolo, Yates, Mangala, Colback, Johnson, Awoniyi, Lingard.

Prediction

Manchester United should be favourites to win this one to get three points and I expect them to get the job done with a firm Nottingham Forest challenge. United to win 2-0.
