Manchester United loose on their last outing at White Hart Lane

White Hart Lane
Man United will play Tottenham for the very last time at White Hart Lane
The last ever game, after 118 years at White Hart Lane, ended in favour of spurs. Everything as a farewell would demand for Tottenham was there, a spurs win, Harry Kane scoring, etc.

This is a new hard spurs team, one for the future. Their new 61000 capacity stadium is state of the art & they have Mauricio Pochettino as a young manager. Tottenham are finishing this season on a high, with being 2nd in the premier league, a big advantage.

On the other Man United are now sure out of the race for the top four. They should now focus on the Europa league route to be in the Champions League next season. North London certainly haven’t been kind to United recently.

Vincent Wanyama opened the scoring for spurs in just 6 minutes. Tottenham looked the more likely team to score goals in the first half.

The final spurs goal, the 5272th scored in this iconic stadium by them to secure victory no. 1472, came from their most important player: Harry Kane. The goal was gloriously celebrated & proved decisive in the end as United pulled one back.

Rooney scored the lone goal for United & it proved to be, too little too late. None of the other United players looked like scoring, although Martial tried his best. Against Ajax, United will certainly need to raise the bar, which they are capable as well.

United vs Ajax should be a fascinating matchup & to be honest Mourinho looked like focusing on it only. Jose knows if he comes up short in the Europa League, he will be called a failure this season.

All in all i think, Tottenham game was just another game for the United boss as they have their eyes set on a bigger picture.
