Champions Chelsea welcome relegated Sunderland

Chelsea vs Sunderland
Sunderland will visit Chelsea on Sunday
Chelsea welcomes relegated Sunderland on Sunday as season 2016/17 of the Premier League comes to an end. Antonio Conte’s men will lift the premier league trophy officially at Stamford Bridge.

On the other hand David Moyes’s men will look to give atleast something for their travelling supporters to remember at the end of a forgettable campaign.

The Italian coach of the blues, have lead them to 29 victories in 37 matches, they have played. Should the blues win on Sunday, it will break the PL record of no. of wins in a 38 game season.

The Blues march towards the title, started with them adopting the 3-4-3 formation. The credit goes to none other than Conte. After a few struggles earlier in the season he changed the tactics.

Conte used his players greatly & got the outputs he would have wanted. He has converted players like Victor Moses, into match winning fullbacks in a system continually being mirrored by coaches all over Europe.

Although there were some setbacks this season, but Chelsea have always got to the winning ways. Onlookers might have thought that the wheels could come off, but Conte have proven them wrong.

Their’s an FA cup final to come against the likes of Arsenal & Conte would want the blues to keep their winning ways. A victory on Sunday would be a fitting send of to an outstanding season.

Recent Form of Chelsea: WWWWWL

The black cats on the other hand have seen only six wins in 37 games games this season. 25 games ended in defeats, which has been there root cause of relegation.

Jermain Defoe have been their key player at times, linking well with Victor Anichebe. Though that still can’t prevent Sunderland’s slide towards the Championship.

Sunderland’s tactics have been lacklustre, which have been the point of frustration for their fans. The black cats will hope to get back to the Premier League sooner. As of now, on Sunday they should look to get something out of the Bridge.

Recent Form of Sunderland: LLWLLD

Possible line-ups for both Chelsea & Sunderland should be :-

Chelsea possible starting lineup:

Begovic, Zouma, Terry, Ake, Azpilicueta, Kante, Chalobah, Kenedy, Willian, Hazard, Batshuayi

Sunderland possible starting linup:

Pickford, Jones, O’Shea, Kone, Manquillo, Ndong, Cattermole, Larsson, Oviedo, Borini, Defoe

Head To Head

Chelsea have had the success in recent years against Sunderland. The blues have won three of the last six games with Sunderland, since 2014. The black cats have won two games & one ended in a draw.

In a wider context, Chelsea have won a huge 20 games out of 24 against Sunderland recently in PL. So, the Blues should better a few records as well on Sunday.

I predict Chelsea to win 3-0 at Stamford Bridge!
