United vs Basel
United play FC Basel on Tuesday night in the Champions League
Manchester United and FC Basel are set to play each other in the Champions League on Tuesday at Old Trafford. United go into this game as the favorites.

Kick-off : 6:45 PM (Local)

Venue : Old Trafford, Stretford

The Red Devils make a return to the Champions League and they have got an opponent they have struggled to beat in the past. United make a return after one-season absence.

Mourinho’s men secured their place in the premier club competition in Europe by winning the Europa League.

Man United have only managed to beat Basel once in four attempts and even lost to them in 2011. This defeat saw them make an exit from the competition at the group stage. So Mourinho’s men will have give their opponents some respect.

Manchester United are currently top of the Premier League and Mourinho will be confident of his team’s chances of winning every prizes this season.

It should be a good game on Tuesday between United and Basel. Both teams will be looking for a win.

Team news and possible line-ups

Basel doesn’t have any players suspended and all their players are fit for Tuesday’s clash against United.

Ricky van Wolfswinkel will be available and is going to play upfront. He is their main goal scoring threat. Whereas Granit Xhaka’s brother Taulant Xhaka will also play in this game.

As for United, they will be without Phil Jones and Eric Bailly, who are suspended. So, in their places Mourinho will likely have Chris Smalling and Victor Lindelof.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic will not be available for Tuesday’s game as is still recovering from knee injury.

FC Basel XI : Vaclik, Suchy, Lang, Akanji, Riveros, Die, Bua, Xhaka, Zuffi, Steffen, Van Wolfswinkel.

Manchester United XI : De Gea, Valencia, Darmian, Smalling, Lindelof, Matic, Pogba, Herrera, Rashford, Mkhitaryan, Lukaku.

Prediction

I expect United to win 2-1.
