Liverpool and West Ham are set to go head to head on Sunday as both begin their 2018/19 Premier League campaign. The Reds go into this game as the favorites.

Kick-off : 1:30 PM (Local)

Venue : Anfield, Liverpool

Liverpool will be hoping to win their first ever Premier League title this season as they play West Ham in the opener. The Reds had a good last season where they finished in the top four.

Liverpool had a good pre season as they won almost every friendly they played. They will now be looking to extract maximum points from the first three games as they play West Ham, Crystal Palace and Brighton.

On the other hand, West Ham will be delighted to be having another season in the English top flight. The Hammers finished 13th last season and will be hoping to finish better this term.

But they know they have not got an easy task ahead as they play giants Liverpool in their first game of 2018/19 Premier League.

Liverpool have been extremely successful in recent times against West Ham and they will look to maintain that record.

Team news and possible line-ups

Winston Reid, Manuel Lanzini and Andy Carroll will all be not available for West Ham for Sunday’s game as due to injury. While Andriy Yarmolenko is doubtful.

As for Liverpool, Dejan Lovren will be unavailable for the weekend game. Whereas Joel Matip and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain will both be unavailable as due to injury.

West Ham XI : Fabianski, Fredericks, Diop, Ogbonna, Cresswell, Rice, Noble, Wilshere, Anderson, Antonio, Arnautovic.

Liverpool : Alisson, Clyne, Gomez, Van Dijk, Robertson, Milner, Wijnaldum, Keita, Mane, Salah, Firmino.

Prediction

I expect Liverpool to win this game 2-0. The goalscorers might be Salah and Keita.
