Liverpool look for three points at home against West Brom

Liverpool vs West Brom
Liverpool will play West Brom on Wednesday night in the Premier League
Liverpool are set to play West Brom on Wednesday night in the Premier League as the season moves ahead. The Reds go into this game as the favorites.

Kick-off : 8:00 PM (Local)

Venue : Anfield, Liverpool

Liverpool are currently on 30 points from 16 games. They know they need to keep winning games to stay in race.

The Reds disappointingly drew 1-1 with Everton at the weekend. Jurgen Klopp was frustrated with the result and now hopes of return to winning ways.

On the other hand, West Brom are on just 13 points from 16 games and are lying in the bottom half of the table. Playing Liverpool away will be a sterner test for them.

So far Liverpool and West Brom have played each other 148 times. Out of that Liverpool have won 68 times while West Brom have won 38 times, 42 other games have been a draw.

It should be a good game on Wednesday night as both teams will give their all.

Team news and possible line-ups

Gareth Barry and Matt Phillips are doubtful for Wednesday’s game for West Brom. While Nacer Chadli, Craig Dawson and James Morrison remain sidelined.

As fore Liverpool, Roberto Firmino and Philippe Coutinho are available and might play against West Brom. While Alberto Moreno and Marko Grujic are doubtful for the midweek game.

Nathaniel Clyne, Adam Bogdan and Joel Matip remain sidelined.

West Brom XI : Foster, Nyom, Hegazi, Evans, Gibbs, Livermore, Yacob, Field, Robson-Kanu, Rondon, Rodriguez.

Liverpool XI : Mignolet, Gomez, Lovren, Klavan, Milner, Mane, Wijnaldum, Can, Coutinho, Salah, Firmino.

Prediction

While it’s not a given that Liverpool will win on Wednesday night, they certainly are the favorites. I expect them to get the job done and earn three points. The scoreline could be 2-0. The goalscorers might be Salah and Firmino.
