Man United look for three points at home against Bournemouth

Man United vs Bournemouth
Manchester United will play Bournemouth on Wednesday in the Premier League
Man United are set to play Bournemouth on Wednesday in the Premier League as the season moves ahead. United go into this game as the favorites.

Kick-off : 8:00 PM (Local)

Venue : Old Trafford, Stretford

United are currently on 35 points from 16 games. They trail table toppers Man City by 11 points. The Red Devils know they need to keep winning games.

Man United lost 1-2 to Man City at the weekend. They will need to overcome their disappointment and come out strong on Wednesday.

On the other hand, Bournemouth are currently on just 16 points from as many games. It will be a sterner test for them to face United away.

So far Manchester United and Bournemouth have played each other 12 times. Out of that Man United have won on 7 occasions while Bournemouth have won only twice, three other games have been a draw.

It should be a good game on Wednesday as both teams will give their all.

Team news and possible line-ups

Adam Smith is back after suspension for Bournemouth and will likely play Wednesday’s game. While Tyrone Mings and Brad Smith remain sidelined.

Other than that they have no fresh injury concerns.

As for Man United, Paul Pogba will be unavailable for the midweek game as due to suspension. While captain Michael Carrick, Marouane Fellaini and Eric Bailly remain on sidelines.

Macos Rojo is doubtful for the Bournemouth game. Although Zlatan Ibrahimovic is available and might play in place of Romelu Lukaku.

Bournemouth XI : Begovic, Smith, Cook, Ake, Daniels, Stanislas, Cook, Surman, Fraser, King, Defoe.

Manchester United XI : De Gea, Lindelof, Smalling, Rojo, Valencia, Matic, Herrera, Young, Mata, Martial, Ibrahimovic.

Prediction

While it’s not a given that Man United will win on Wednesday night, they certainly are the favorites. I expect them to win this game 2-0.
