Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur will go head to head on Saturday in 2018/19 UEFA Champions league final as both teams aim glory. The Reds go into this game as the favourites.

Kick-off : 9:00 PM (Local)

Venue : Wanda Metropolitano Stadium, Madrid

Liverpool have had a pretty wonderful 2018/19 Premier League season. Though they didn’t win anything they will take good memories from it. But they need to convert the good display into European success.

The Reds would now love nothing less than a triumph in the UEFA Champions League. Liverpool know Tottenham Hotspur wouldn’t make things easier for them but Liverpool know their class and need to play good football accordingly.

Mohamed Salah and Jurgen Klopp forms a deadly combination and the manager will have their eye set on the title. Klopp will do all he can to lift the trophy in Madrid, the players just need to support him.

On the other hand, Tottenham Hotspur have done wonderfully so well to reach till here and they will be disappointed if they do not achieve what they crave for. They need to play quality football.

Spurs need to become a big club and competitions like these make you famous globally. Liverpool are a tough and legendary club. Tottenham know it and to achieve success in European nights against them will need to take big step ahead. Spurs will need to have a good strategy to execute upon.

Tottenham are a good team and with players like Lucas Moura they have the potential to upset Liverpool.

The Reds have a good record against Tottenham Hotspur and they need to make full use of the fact.

Team news and possible line-ups

Serge Aurier and Harry Winks will both be not available for Tottenham Hotspur for the UCL final as due to their respective injuries. While Harry Kane, Davinson Sanchez and Jan Vertonghen are all doubts.

As for Liverpool, Naby Keita will not be available as due to injury.

Tottenham Hotspur XI : Lloris, Trippier, Alderweireld, Vertonghen, Rose, Sissoko, Wanyama, Eriksen, Alli, L. Moura, Son.

Liverpool XI : Alisson, Alexander-Arnold, Van Dijk, Matip, Robertson, Fabinho, Henderson, Wijnaldum, Salah, Firmino, Mane.

Prediction

I expect it to be a good contest as both teams will test each other. But Liverpool should come out on top as they generally do in European nights. The Reds to win the UCL win 2-1.
