Liverpool will play Manchester City on Sunday in the Premier League
Liverpool are set to play Manchester City on Sunday in the Premier League as the season moves ahead. Both teams will be looking for three points.

Kick-off : 4:00 PM (Local)

Venue : Anfield, Liverpool

The Reds are currently on 44 points from 22 games and trail table toppers Manchester City by 18 points. They know they need to keep winning games.

Liverpool recently defeated Everton 2-1 in the FA Cup and will be in a positive frame of mind. Although they know Manchester City will be a sterner test for them.

On the other hand, Manchester City won in the Premier League in the New Year against Watford. They followed that up with successive victories in the FA Cup and Carabao Cup. They lead the Premier League points table and will be confident ahead of their trip to LIverpool.

The last time these two teams met in the Premier League, City hammered Liverpool 5-0 and the Reds will be looking for a revenge.

So far Liverpool and Man City have played each other 207 times. Out of that Liverpool have won 101 times while City have won 54 times, 52 other games have been a draw.

Team news and possible line-ups

Vincent Kompany, Gabriel Jesus and Benjamin Mendy remain sidelined for Manchester City.

As for Liverpool, Mohamed Salah is available and will play Sunday’s game. While Daniel Sturridge is doubtful for the weekend fixture.

Also Jordan Henderson and Alberto Moreno remain sidelined.

Manchester City XI : Walker, Stones, Sterling, Aguero, De Bruyne, Delph, Sane, Silva, Fernandinho, Otamendi, Ederson.

Liverpool XI : Mignolet, Gomez, Van Dijk, Lovren, Robertson, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Can, Milner, Salah, Firmino, Mane.

Prediction

I think it will be a close game between two of Premier League’s top sides. May the best team on the night win. I expect it to end 2-2.
