India and England resume their ODI rivalry on Tuesday in London

India and England go head to head tomorrow in the first ODI of the 3-match series as India tour of England 2022 moves ahead. Both teams will be looking for a win here.

Date & Time : 12th July 2022, 1:00 PM (Local)

Venue : The Oval, London

Indian cricket team were fabulous in the first limited-overs series of their tour in the T20I series, winning it 2-1 but the focus is now on the second limited-overs series as one-day commences and they can’t take their foot off the pedal. They will look forward to playing quality cricket.

Team India have a strong squad for the one-day series and batting out the 50-overs should be priority in English conditions. In terms of bowling they have good strength. Looking forward to the series.

India’s next game is on the 14th in Lord’s.

On the other hand, England were good enough in the final T20I yesterday to avoid the whitewash against an Indian side in full flow. They should carry forward the momentum. They know the conditions well.

England team is looking good on paper for the ODI’s but they will need to execute the game plans solidly. Their batting is their pillar apart from quality bowling.

As for the pitch, it will be good overall for both batting and bowling.

Team news and possible lineups

There are no fresh injury concerns for both sides at the moment.

India XI : R. Sharma (C), S. Dhawan, Kohli, S. Yadav, Pant (WK), H. Pandya, R. Jadeja, Bumrah, P. Krishna, Chahal, Shami.

England XI : Roy, Bairstow, Root, Buttler (C&WK), Livingstone, Stokes, Ali, Willey, Topley, Parkinson, C. Overton.

Prediction

In the home conditions England should be the favoured team but India are a good solid one-day outfit and the match should be competitive.
