Sen vs Ned
In the third match of FIFA World Cup 2022 Senegal face Netherlands in Group A

Senegal and Netherlands lock horns in the second game on Matchday Monday in FIFA World Cup 2022 Qatar as the tournament moves ahead. The Dutch start this game as the favourites.

Kick-off : 7:00 PM (Local)

Venue : Al Thumama Stadium, Doha

Netherlands know their history in the tournament, a team to not have won the FIFA World Cup despite being deserving candidates. They will look to correct history now.

Oranje have had a very productive year up until now and they are undefeated this year. They will like to carry forward the momentum. In their last match in September 2022 they defeated Belgium 1-0 in the Nations League.

Manager Louis van Gaal might use a 3-4-1-2 system on Monday against Senegal to get three points playing attacking.

On the other hand, Senegal are ready for this one to go far beyond and claim their maiden world cup trophy. They did well in 2002 and will be encouraged.

The Lions of Teranga have had a wonderful year so far and were crowned Champions of Africa and they have been winning. They will like to carry forward the form. They last played Iran in Austria in a 1-1 draw in September.

Manager Aliou Cisse might deploy an attacking formation against Netherlands or he might be a bit defensive. Most likely be sorts of a 4-5-1 system.

Team news and possible lineups

Sadio Mane and Abdou Diallo are both injured and unavailable for the Senegalese. While Krepin Diatta is available and might play.

As for the Dutch, Memphis Depay is out injured and won’t play. While Denzel Dumfries and Marten de Roon are both doubtful.

Also Jeremie Frimpong might play.

Netherlands XI : Pasveer, Timber, Van Dijk, Ake, Frimpong, F. De Jong, Koopmeiners, Blind, Klaassen, Gakpo, Bergwijn.

Senegal XI : E. Mendy, Sabaly, Cisse, Koulibaly, Ballo-Toure, Kouyate, N. Mendy, I. Gueye, I. Sarr, Dia, Diatta.
