FIFA World Cup 2022 – USA vs Wales, Group B, match preview, predicted lineups

Usa vs Wal
In the third match of Super Monday in FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 it sees Group B opponents USA and Wales in action

United States of America take on Wales in fourth game of FIFA World Cup 2022 Qatar. Both teams will be looking for a win here.

Kick-off : 10:00 PM (Local)

Venue : Al Rayyan Stadium, Al Rayyan

United States are experienced when it comes to tournaments in the FIFA World Cup given their presence over the years and it should account for their comfortability on getting the job done. They will look to play quality football.

The Stars and Stripes have mostly got the job done in matches this year and will look to carry forward the template of won games. They last featured in a goalless draw against Saudi Arabia in Spain in September.

Boss Gegg Berhalter will likely deploy a 4-3-3 formation against the Welsh.

On the other hand, Wales themselves have featured in FIFA World Cup before but they would like to be more regular participants. They will aim to qualify behind England from this group.

The Dragons have not had that successful a year this one and will look to wipe off the bad memories and try to win in the 2022 World Cup.

Manager Rob Page will likely use his 3-4-2-1 system against the US to try and get a result.

Team news and possible lineups

Rhys Norringtin-Davies is injured and won’t be available for Wales. While Gareth Bale and  Joe Allen are both available and will play.

As for US, goalkeeper Matt Turner is available and will be between the sticks.

USA XI : Turner, Dest, Zimmerman, Long, A. Robinson, Adams, McKennie, Aaronson, Reyna, Ferreira, Pulisic.

Wales XI : Hennessey, C. Roberts, Ampadu, Rodon, B. Davies, N. Williams, Allen, Ramsey, Bale, Moore, James.

Prediction

I expect USA to be favourites for this one but Wales are a good side. Maybe a 2-2
