Chelsea look for three points against Newcastle at home

Chelsea vs Newcastle
Chelsea will play Newcastle on Saturday in the Premier League
Chelsea are set to play Newcastle on Saturday in the Premier League as the season moves ahead. The Blues go into this game as the favorites.

Kick-off : 12:30 PM (Local)

Venue : Stamford Bridge, London

Chelsea are currently third on the table with 29 points from 14 games. They know they need to keep winning games in order to defend their title.

Chelsea just won the game 1-0 against Swansea City in midweek. Antonio Rudiger were their unlikely hero.

On the other hand, Newcastle are currently 12th on the table with just 15 points from 14 games. They know Chelsea will be a sterner test for them.

Newcastle drew 2-2 with West Brom in midweek and will be slightly low on confidence.

So far Chelsea and Newcastle have played each other 160 times. Out of that Chelsea have won 69 games while Newcastle have won 52 games, 39 other games have been a draw.

It should be a good game on Saturday as both teams will give their all.

Team news and possible line-ups

Jamaal Lascelles, Christian Atsu and Paul Dummett will be unavailable for the Chelsea game as due to injuries.

As for the Blues, Cesar Azpilicueta and Eden Hazard are available and will likely play on Saturday. While David Luiz is doubtful for the weekend game.

Michy Batshuayi, Charly Musonda and Kenedy remain on the sidelines.

Newcastle XI : Darlow, Yedlin, Lejeune, Clark, Mbemba, Hayden, Merino, Ritchie, Perez, Murphy, Joselu.

Chelsea XI : Courtois, Azpilicueta, Christensen, Rudiger, Zappacosta, Drinkwater, Kante, Alonso, Pedro, Morata, Hazard.

Prediction

While it’s not a given that Chelsea will win on Saturday, they certainly are the favorites. I expect Chelsea to get the job done and earn three points. I think Chelsea will win 4-1. The goalscorers might be Pedro, Alvaro Morata, Eden Hazard and Marcos Alonso for the Blues and Jacob Murphy for Newcastle.
