Chelsea are set to play Atletico Madrid on Tuesday in the Champions League as the group stages comes to an end. The Blues go into this game as the favorites.

Kick-off : 7:45 PM (Local)

Venue : Stamford Bridge, London

Chelsea have already qualified for the knockout stages but their is still plenty to play for. They are currently on 10 points from five games.

Victory over Atletico Madrid will see Chelsea finish as Group C winners. But the Spanish sidemust win on Tuesday to stand any chance of progressing.

Diego Simeone’s side will also require that Roma fail to win against Qarabag. Atletico Madrid are currently on 6 points from five games while Roma are on 8 points from five games.

So far Chelsea and Atletico Madrid have played each other on six occasions. Out of that the Blues have won couple of times while loosing and drawing also a couple of times.

Teams news and possible line-ups

Juanfran is doubtful for Atletico Madrid ahead of the Chelsea clash. While Gabi will captain Atletico against Chelsea.

Miguel Angel Moya should keep for the Spanish side. Diego Godin and Filipe Luis should be in defense.

As for Chelsea, they remain without David Luiz, Charly Musonda and Kenedy for this game. While Davide Zappacosta is available and might play on Tuesday night.

Marcos Alonso should once again play in midfield.

Atletico Madrid XI : Angel Moya, Godin, Luis, Savic, Gimenez, Partey, Koke, Saul, Carrasco, Griezmann, Correa.

Chelsea XI : Courtois, Azpilicueta, Christensen, Rudiger, Zappacosta, Drinkwater, Kante, Alonso, Pedro, Morata, Hazard.

Prediction

While it’s not a given that Chelsea will win on Tuesday night, they certainly are the favorites. I expect them to get the job done and earn three points. I think it will finish 3-0 to Chelsea.
