Chelsea look for three points as they host Roma

Chelsea vs Roma
Chelsea will play Roma on Wednesday night in the Champions League
Chelsea is all set to play Roma in the Champions League as they host them on Wednesday night. The Blues go into this game as the favorites.

Kick-off : 6:45 PM (Local)

Venue : Stamford Bridge, London

Chelsea won 2-1 earlier against Atletico Madrid in the Champions League. They will be very confident now of a good showing against Roma at home.

But since that win in Wanda Metropolitano they have been beaten twice in the Premier League. So that form is a worry.

Roma are also unbeaten after two games in the Champions League. But the Giallorossi have been beaten 1-0 by Napoli in the Serie A, so that will hurt.

All in all it should be a good game on Wednesday night as both teams will give their all.

Team news and possible line-ups

Kevin Strootman, Patrik Schick, Gregoire Defrel, Emerson Palmieri and Stephan El Shaarawy are all doubtful for Roma for Wednesday’s game.

So manager Eusebio Di Francesco will have to choose playing XI accordingly.

As for Chelsea, they will be without the services of N’Golo Kante and Danny Drinkwater as both are out injured.

While Victor Moses is also doubtful for tomorrow’s game as he injured himself in the loss against Crystal Palace.

Alvaro Morata is available and might be given a start against Roma on Wednesday night. Whereas Antonio Rudiger is also available and might play against his former club.

Roma XI : Alisson, Bruno Peres, Juan Jesus, Fazio, Kolarov, De Rossi, Strootman, Nainggolan, Florenzi, Perotti, Dzeko.

Chelsea XI : Courtois, Cahill, Luiz, Azpilicueta, Zappacosta, Fabregas, Bakayoko, Alonso, Pedro, Hazard, Morata.

Prediction

While it is not a given that Chelsea will win on Wednesday night but they certainly are favorites to win the game. I expect Chelsea to win 2-1 on the night.
