Chelsea will play Slavia Praha on Thursday in 2018/19 UEFA Europa League quarter-final second leg as both teams eye progression to next round. The Blues go into this game as the favourites.

Kick-off : 7:00 PM (Local)

Venue : Stamford Bridge, London

Chelsea have an advantage as they performed to expectations in the 2018/19 UEFA Europa League Quarter-Final 1st leg against Slavia Praha away getting an away goal in their 1-0 win. They should now focus on securing safe passage to the semi’s.

The Blues know Slavia Praha will produce some tough football as the Czech side will be expecting to seek revenge of the home defeat. But Chelsea are a world class side and they will just need to play their brand of football.

On the other hand, Slavia Praha themselves will need to do it all conceding an away goal, so now need to at least score a goal. They will have to punch above weight.

The Czech outfit will be aware that Chelsea are a strong side at home and Slavia Praha will have to produce their best football giving their all and hoping for the best in order to progress.

Team news and possible line-ups

Soucek is available for Slavia Praha and will likely play against Chelsea.

As for The Blues, Antonio Rudiger will be unavailable as due to injury. While Marcus Alonso is available and should play.

Slavia Praha XI : Kolar, Coufal, Ngadeu-Ngadjui, Deli, Boril, Traore, Soucek, Kral, Stoch, Masopust, Olayinka.

Chelsea XI : Arrizabalaga, Azpilicueta, Christensen, Luiz, Alonso, Kante, Jorginho, Barkley, Pedro, Giroud, Hudson-Odoi.

Prediction

It should be a good game as both teams will give their all but in the end I expect The Blues to get the job done and earn another win over Slavia Prague propelling them to the semi’s. They might win 4-1.
