Arsenal will play Chelsea on Wednesday night in the Premier League
Chelsea and Arsenal are set to play each other on Wednesday night in the first of three January clashes. Both teams will look for three points in the Premier League clash.

Kick-off : 7:45 PM (Local)

Venue : Emirates Stadium, London

Chelsea are currently on 45 points from 21 games and trail table toppers Man City by 14 points. They know they need to keep winning games.

The Blues defeated Stoke City 5-0 at the weekend and will be in a positive frame of mind. Although Arsenal will be a different test altogether.

On the other hand, Arsenal are on just 38 points from 21 games. They are far behind Manchester City and trail them by 21 points. They too need to keep winning games.

The Gunners drew 1-1 with West Brom at the weekend and will be a little disappointed. Although they will need to quickly get over it as they face another sterner test against Chelsea on Wednesday night.

So far Arsenal and Chelsea have played each other 192 times. Out of that Arsenal have won 75 times while Chelsea have won 62 times, 55 other games have been a draw.

All in all it should be a good game on Wednesday night as both teams will give their all.

Team news and possible line-ups

Mesut Ozil is a doubt for Arsenal ahead of the Chelsea clash as is Sead Kolasinac. While Aaron Ramsey, Santi Cazorla and Nacho Monreal remain sidelined.

As for Chelsea, Eden Hazard, Cesc Fabregas and Tiemoue Bakayoko are available and might play against Arsenal.

Arsenal XI : Cech, Chambers, Mustafi, Koscielny, Bellerin, Wilshere, Xhaka, Kolasinac, Ozil, Sanchez, Lacazette.

Chelsea XI : Courtois, Azpilicueta, Christensen, Cahill, Moses, Bakayoko, Kante, Fabregas, Alonso, Hazard, Morata.

Prediction

It promises to be a cracker of a game in the New Year as two of Premier League’s heavyweights take on each other. May the best team on the night win.
