Arsenal will host Doncaster on Wednesday night in the Football League Cup. The Gunners go into this game as the favorites to get the three points.

Kick-off : 6:45 PM (Local)

Venue : Emirates Stadium, London

Arsenal have never won the Football League Cup, so they will be looking to win it to complete their trophy cabinet.

The Gunners have reached the semi-finals on four occasions and have finished runners-up on two occasions.

Arsene Wenger might want to shuffle has pack but he has got a great mix of young and competitive players.

The likes of Jack Wilshere and Olivier Giroud might be given an opportunity in the playing XI for Wednesday’s game.

All in all I think it should be a good game tomorrow as both sides will give their best.

Team news and possible line-ups

Darren Ferguson will likely play his strongest team. Ian Lowlor should be the goalkeeper in this game. While James Coppinger will captain the side.

Craig Alcock, Danny Andrew, Baudry and Butler should be the four defenders. Whereas Andy Williams should be the key man upfront.

As for Arsenal, Mohamed Elneny, Olivier Giroud and David Ospina will likely start. Mesut Ozil will be unavailable for Wednesday’s game due to injury.

Danny Welbeck will also be not available for Doncaster game due to groin injury. Reiss Nelson could also be given a start.

Doncaster XI : Lawlor, Alcock, Andrew, Baudry, Butler, McCullough, Kongolo, Mason, Rowe, Marquis, A. Williams.

Arsenal XI : Ospina, Chambers, Mertesacker, Holding, Nelson, Elneny, Wilshere, Maitland-Niles, Walcott, Iwobi, Giroud.

Prediction

Arsenal are not in such a fine form at the moment but they will certainly fancy their chances for the game against Doncaster. It will be a tough outing for Doncaster and I think the Gunners will win 2-0.
