The Three Lions host Slovakia in FIFA World Cup Qualifier

England vs Slovakia
England play Slovakia on Monday night in Wembley
England will play Slovakia on Monday night in crucial World Cup 2018 qualifiers. England will go into this game as the favorites.

Kick-off : 6:45 PM (Local)

Venue : Wembley Stadium, Wembley

England played Malta on Friday and got three points from that game, beating them 4-0. So, now the Three Lions can inch closer to next summers World Cup bu beating Slovakia on Monday.

Slovakia are England’s closest rivals in Group F and trail them by two points at the top of the table with three games remaining.

If England goes on to win this game, then they will have a lead of five points and will require only two points from the remaining two games against Slovenia and Lithuania to win the group.

The Three Lions have won five of their seven qualification games so far and remain unbeaten. They have conceded only two goals thus far.

England should qualify for next year’s World Cup and can be a force to reckon with at the event. Gareth Southgate have been building the team quite well.

Key players like Harry Kane, Jordan Henderson, Dele Alli and Gary Cahill form the core of the team.

It should be a good competitive game on Monday night against Slovakia.

Team news and possible line-ups

Martin Skrtel and Jan Durica return for Slovakia after suspension. While goalkeeper Matus Kozacik has been ruled out due to a back injury.

As for England, Kieran Trippier has been dropped out of the squad due to injury. Jordan Pickford withdrew before the Malta game.

Adam Lallana and Danny Rose continue to miss out due to fitness problems. Rest of the squad remains the same.

Slovakia XI : Dubravka, Pekarik, Skrtel, Skriniar, Hubocan, Mak, Kucka, Lobotka, Hamsik, Rusnak, Nemec.

England XI : Hart, Walker, Jones, Bertrand, Cahill, Henderson, Livermore, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Dele, Rashford, Kane.

Prediction

I think it should be a close game with England winning 2-1.
