Germany look for three points against Norway in Stuttgart

Germany vs Norway
Germany will play Norway on Monday night in World Cup 2018 qualifiers
Germany will play Norway on Monday night in FIFA World Cup 2018 Qualifiers at Stuttgart. The Germans go into this one as favorites to get the three points.

Kick-off : 8:45 PM (Local)

Venue : Mercedes-Benz Arena, Stuttgart

Germany played Czech Republic on Friday night and got the three points as they beat them 2-1 in Prague. They guaranteed themselves at least 2nd place with this win.

Norway’s defense is not as strong as the Czech Republic’s but still Germany will not take them lightly. The home advantage is a helping factor and Germany will look to make it count.

Low’s side have now won four games in a row and haven’t lost a game since they were knocked out of Euro 2016 by France. That includes a young squad who won the Confederations Cup in the summer and at home have won all five matches since Euro 2016 and are yet to concede.

The Norwegians are struggling in front of goal and have only managed eight goals. Their chances to qualify for next year’s World Cup are slim. They are way behind in terms of points.

So it should be a good game on Monday but Germans look likely to continue their run.

Team news and possible line-ups

Josh King is expected to start for Norway after scoring on Friday. While Stefan Johansen will captain Norway on Monday.

Tarik Elyounoussi is hoping to start on Monday against Germany.

As for Germany, Manuel Neuer isn’t included in the squad due to lack of fitness after an injury. But Thomas Muller and Mats Hummels are available for Monday’s game.

Timo Werner should start for Germany after he scored for them on Friday.

Norway XI : Jarstein, Aleesami, Nordtveit, Elabdellaoui, Svenson, Johansen, Linnes, Selnaes, Daehli, Elyounoussi, King.

Germany XI : Ter Stegen, Hector, Ginter, Hummels, Kimmich, Kroos, Ozil, Brandt, Stindl, Werner, Muller.

Prediction

I think it will be another win for Germany. The scoreline should be 3-0.
