Team India will take on Sri Lanka in the final match of the 2020 SL tour of India in the third and final T20I to see who wins it. Team India go into this match as the favourites.

Date and Time : 10th January 2020, 7:00 PM IST

Venue : MCA Stadium, Pune

Indian team really played well in the second T20I to get ahead in the series and they must finish off the series in Pune playing their brand of cricket.

No doubt SL will come hard but this Indian team know how to win games of cricket and especially in home conditions they are far to be matched.

Ravi Shastri will tell his players to be cautious going into this game as India lost to SL the last time they played a T20I in Pune.

This is a wicket which suits pace bowling. So the team winning toss will bowl first. In this conditions the Indian batting needs to be careful and wary of the danger SL possess in terms of fast bowling.

If India bowls first then their are not much issues in restricting but if we bat first then surely scoring a decent score with right analyses of the pitch will be crucial.

On the other hand, Sri Lanka will be utterly disappointed the way they played in Indore. Just poor batting display, they will be determined to bounce back.

Sri Lanka will have good memories of the ground having beaten India in India in T20I. Though this time they will have to bring something different.

It’s not a pitch which is high scoring so their bowling will come into play. They will also hope to win the toss this time to be able to be good tactically.

Sri Lanka need an all-round good performance to to win this game and end the tour on a high. They need to lift their spirits.

Weather Report

The weather for this game is pretty good and their is no chances of rain. So full game will be on display for fans.

Head to Head

In terms of the head India have won 12 games to Sri Lanka’s 5 out of their 18 encounters, with one game being a no result.

Team news and possible lineups

Isuru Udana will not be available for Sri Lanka for this game as due to injury sustained in the last game. He will be replaced by Kasun Rajitha.

As for India, they are likely going to play the same XI as in the previous game.

Sri Lanka XI : Malinga (C), Gunathilaka, A. Fernando, K. Perera (WK), Mathews, B. Rajapaksa, D. de Silva, D. Shanaka, Rajitha, W. Hasaranga, L. Kumara.

India XI : Kohli (C), KL Rahul, S. Dhawan, Iyer, Pant (WK), Dube, W. Sundar, S. Thakur, K. Yadav, Bumrah, N. Saini.

Prediction

Although it will be a little green tinge wicket, I am expecting India to do their jobs and win the series.
