India and New Zealand eye a series win in Kanpur

India vs New Zealand
India will play New Zealand on Sunday in Kanpur in the final ODI of the three match series
India is set to play New Zealand on Sunday in Kanpur in the deciding ODI of the ongoing series. India go into this game as the favorites.

Date and Time : 29 October 2017, 1:30 PM (IST)

Venue : Green Park, Kanpur

So far both teams have played well and are stuck on one win each. That means the team who wins now will take it all.

India played well in the first ODI to give the Kiwis a 280 run target but the visitors outplayed India with their batting.

In the second ODI the Black Caps failed to take the initiative and failed with the bat and posted a below par total of 230, which India chased down with ease.

This time around though especially at Kanpur, the team batting second tends win more and the toss becomes crucial. So the captain winning toss will likely bowl first.

Team news and possible line-ups

I don’t think so that New Zealand will make any changes to their side for the third one-dayer. The team will remain the same. Although their improvements required in certain fields.

As for India, I don’t see them make any changes to their side either for the third ODI. They will stick with their winning combination.

New Zealand XI : Guptill, Munro, Williamson, R. Taylor, Latham, Nicholls, Grandhomme, Santner, Milne, Southee, Boult.

India XI : R. Sharma, Dhawan, Kohli, D. Karthik, Jadhav, Dhoni, H. Pandya, A. Patel, B. Kumar, Bumrah, Chahal.

Prediction

While it’s not a given that India will win on Sunday, they certainly go into this game as the favorites. I think India have the ability better than New Zealand to handle the pressure of a final. So I expect India to win this game.
