Team India eye series win at Port Elizabeth

India vs South Africa
India will play South Africa in the fifth ODI on Tuesday
India will play South Africa in the penultimate ODI of the six match series on Tuesday in Port Elizabeth. Both teams will be looking for a win.

Date and Time : 13th February 2018, 4:30 PM IST

Venue : St George’s Park, Port Elizabeth

India though lead the series 3-1 will be ruing the fact that they didn’t win the series in Johannesburg. They have made South Africa comeback into the series.

When Virat Kohli and Shikhar Dhawan were batting India should have made sure they cross the 300 mark. It was a great chance which Indian batters missed.

Also South Africa needs to be given the credit the way they tackled the Indian spin twins. In the first three ODI’s they had completely surrendered against them.

The same mindset will be needed by the Proteas in the fifth one-dayer if they are hoping the series to be leveled. Whereas India just need one more win to seal an ODI series win on South African soil.

The wicket here is seamer friendly and helps fast bowling. Also teams batting first have won more ODI’s than teams batting second. So the captain who wins the toss will likely bat first.

Team news and possible line-ups

South Africa are likely to stick with the winning combination as in the fourth ODI.

As for India, they will have to opt between Chahal or Kuldeep for the fifth ODI as the wicket here supports pacers. That means Mohammed Shami will get a place in the starting XI.

South Africa XI : Markram, Amla, De Villiers, Klaasen, Duminy, Miller, Morris, Phehlukwayo, Rabada, Morkel, Ngidi.

India XI : R. Sharma, Dhawan, Kohli, Rahane, Iyer, Dhoni, H. Pandya, B. Kumar, K. Yadav, Shami, Bumrah.

Prediction

It should be a close game as both teams will give their all. May the best team on the night who commits less mistakes win.
