Team India eye ODI series win as they take on England in the Lord’s ODI

India vs England
India will play England in the 2nd ODI of the three match series on Saturday
India and England are set to play each other on Saturday in the second ODI of the three match series as both eye a win. Team India go into this game as the favorites.

Date and Time : 14th July 2018, 3:30 PM IST

Venue : Lord’s, London

India started the one-day series as the favorites and on Thursday they proved why by making the contest one sided. Now the onus is on them to get the job done at the weekend and earn the series win.

The batsmen are doing well at the moment and also the bowlers, especially the spinners. So another complete performance will see them seal the series.

On the other hand, England have got almost an impossible task at their hands to defeat this solid India team backed up by world class spinners. But they know they can do it and on Saturday it will all be needed to keep the series alive.

England have been using the Merlyn Bowling Machine and let’s see if it helps in their inability to play spin at the weekend.

India and England have played 97 ODI’s thus far. Out of which India have won 53 games while England have won 39 games. Two games have been a tie and three a no result.

Team news and possible line-ups

England are unlikely to alter their playing XI for Saturday’s game.

As for India, they too are unlikely to alter their playing XI.

England XI : Morgan (C), Roy, Bairstow, Root, Buttler, Stokes, Ali, Plunkett, Willey, Rashid, Wood.

India XI : Kohli (C), R. Sharma, Dhawan, Rahul, Dhoni, Raina, Pandya, Kaul, K. Yadav, Chahal, U. Yadav.

Prediction

I think it all comes down to the English batsmen and Kuldeep Yadav. Whoever wins the battle will decide whether India wins or England wins.
