India eye a clean sweep against Sri Lanka

India eye clean sweep
India will be looking to win the Test series 3-0 and create history in Sri Lanka
India play Sri Lanka in the final test of the ongoing series on Saturday. The game will be played at Pallekelle International Cricket Stadium and will begin at 10:00 AM IST.

The Indian team will be looking to win this test as well to win the series 3-0. It will be a comprehensive victory and a bit of a history in SL.

Sri Lanka have not played the best cricket so far in the series and have had their share of problems. It will be an uphill task to save the final game against a no.1 team like India.

India amassed 600 totals in the last two tests and have won comprehensively. They will be looking for something similar to that.

Indian batsman have looked good especially Cheteshwar Pujara who has scored 2 centuries so far. The same goes for the Indian bowlers who have taken wickets, especially Jadeja and Ashwin who have taken 13 and 11 wickets respectively.

Ravindra Jadeja will be missing this test due to suspension as he breached the ICC conduct code in the 2nd test. Axar Patel has been added to the squad and it will be between him and Kuldeep that the selection will be for second spinner.

Sri lanka have been having injury troubles quite regularly in this series. Now Rangana Herath has been sidelined due to back problem. The Lankans will also be missing the services of Nuwan Pradeep and Asela Gunaratne.

Possible line-ups :-

Sri Lanka : Dimuth Karunaratne, Upul Tharanga, Dinesh Chandimal (C), Kusal Mendis, Angelo Mathews, Niroshan Dickwella (WK), Dhananjaya de Silva, Dilruvan Perera, Malinda Pushpakumara, Lahiru Gamage, Dushmantha Chameera.

India : Shikhar Dhawan, Lokesh Rahul, Virat Kohli (C), Cheteshwar Pujara, Ajinkya Rahane, Ravichandran Ashwin, Wriddhiman Saha (WK), Hardik Pandya, Kuldeep Yadav, Mohammed Shami, Umesh Yadav.

Prediction

India have dominated in the series so far and will be the favorites going into this test. Sri Lanka might look for a consolation win but if they are not competitive then India will run away with this one, so we will have to wait and watch what happens.
