Gujarat have been the outstanding team so far in this edition of the Indian Premier League and will look to continue to be see as we near the playoff stage.

GT have their batsman in fine form apart from bowlers picking up wickets. They need to play their brand of cricket.
Gujarat have so far won against LSG, DC, PBKS, RR, CSK, KKR, SRH & RCB. They have lost to SRH.
On the other hand, Punjab Kings are not having that well a campaign so far and will look to get more wins before the classification for the playoffs happen.
PBKS are currently eighth in the points table after 9 games with 8 points.
Punjab have their batters score runs but they would want more and less dependancy on Shikhar Dhawan. In the bowling department they have bowlers who have picked up wickets and more of it is required.
PBKS have so far won against, RCB, CSK (2) & MI, They have lost to KKR, GT, SRH, DC & LSG.
In terms of the head to head, this is just the second meeting with Gujarat being a new franchisee. A great occasion for fans to look forward to.
As for the wicket, the batsman will be aided with bowlers with precision rewarded.
