Tata IPL 2022, Final – Gujarat Titans vs Rajasthan Royals, match preview, predicted lineups

GT vs RR
Match no. 74 of IPL 2022 between GT and RR takes place today

Gujarat Titans take on Rajasthan Royals in Tata IPL 2022 final as the season comes to a close. Both teams will be looking for a win here.

Date & Time : 29th May 2022, 8:00 PM IST

Venue : Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad

Gujarat Titans have been a top team this tournament so far and they will be tested to the fullest in their maiden IPL final. They will though gonna take confidence from the fact that they defeated Rajasthan Royals twice till now, once in the league phase and once in the playoffs.

Hardik Pandya has been a good captain for them and his captaincy skills will be tested. They will need to play quality cricket.

Gujarat batting is a solid one with David Miller in form. They will need to get a good start from their openers. Bowling wise they have Afghan maestro Rashid Khan and reliable Shami.

On the other hand, Rajasthan Royals have done it brilliantly too thus far to reach the final. They had a long journey to the finals after getting defeated in the first playoff to beat RCB in the second playoff making it to an IPL final since their maiden triumph in 2008.

RR have a good captain too in Sanju Samson and his skills will be tested to the fullest. They will have to play quality cricket.

Rajasthan batting is solid with the Orange cap holder Jos Buttler (824) up top followed by Samson himself. Bowling looks well balanced as well with the spin duo of Ravi Ashwin and Chahal apart from three quality pacers in McCoy, Boult & Krishna.

For the wicket, it’s a good one for batting with good bowlers getting rewards too for their sincere efforts.
