The UCL Final 2021/22 between Liverpool and Real Madrid takes place today

Liverpool and Real Madrid will go head to head in the 2021/22 UEFA Champions League final as the season comes to a close. Both teams will be looking for a win here.

Kick-off : 9:00 PM (Local)

Venue : Stade de France, Saint-Denis

Liverpool having disappointed a week or so ago will now have their hopes once again risen since they approach another Champions League final. They will be confident going into this game.

The Reds wouldn’t win a quadruple as they have los the Premier league but definitely a European Cup win is quite something and they must progress to it with motivation.

Jurgen Klopp will likely deploy a 4-3-3 formation against Real as they will look to be defensively solid and ruthless in the final third.

On the other hand, Real Madrid have already won the La Liga and to win the Champions League being the most successful team on the continent will be their objective.

Los Blancos won when they last met Liverpool in a Champions League final and they must be motivated by the fact. They though shouldn’t be complacent and play giving their best.

Carlo Ancelotti too will likely use a 4-3-3 system as they will look to tackle a master Liverpool side both defensively as well in the final third.

Team news and possible lineups

Fabinho, Joe Gomez and Thiago Alcantara are all available for Liverpool for the UCL final. While Divock Origi is injured and hence won’t be available.

As for Real Madrid, David Alaba and Marcelo are both available.

Liverpool XI : Alisson, Alexander-Arnold, Konate, Van Dijk, Robertson, Henderson, Fabinho, Thiago, Salat, Mane Diaz.

Real Madrid XI : Courtois, Carvajal, Militao, Alaba, Mendy, Kroos, Casemiro, Modric, Valverde, Benzema, Vinicius Jr.

Prediction

I expect it to be a close one with the result maybe decided on penalties.
