Tata IPL 2022 – CSK vs PBKS, match preview, predicted lineups

Match no. 11 of IPL 2022 between CSK and PBKS takes place today

Chennai Super Kings after a dismal start to their 2022 IPL campaign will now play Punjab Kings in the 11th game of the season. Both teams will be looking for a win here.

Date & Time : 3rd April 2022, 7:30 PM IST

Venue : Brabourne Stadium, Mumbai

Chennai Super Kings are too good a team to not win a game since the start of a tournament for many games. They must regain lost ground here.

Having Ravindra Jadeja as captain is an asset and CSK should trust him till the end of the season.

They have good batsman up front in Uthappa, Rayudu and Gaikwad with Dhoni in the middle. In fact it’s the bowling which has let them down. Bowlers like Tushar Deshpande, Shivam Dube and in fact captain Jadeja needs to come join the party of Bravo and Pretorius to help team’s cause.

On the other hand, Punjab Kings have won one contest while loosing the other. They will look to put the CSK side in complete disarray taking complete advantage of the situation.

With Mayank Agarwal at helm, they will be benefited from a good player in himself and his leadership skills.

PBKS did well to chase down in the first game but lost to Russell muscle against KKR. The bowling is an issue and Rabada seems to solve this issue.

Out of the 26 T20’s played between both sides CSK lead 16-10.

In terms of the wicket, their is grass on it helping good bowlers. Although wickets in Mumbai generally help the batters. Teams will look to chase.

Team news and possible lineups

Their are no fresh injury concerns for both sides at the moment.

PBKS XI : M. Agarwal (C), S. Dhawan, Livingstone, Rajapaksa (WK), S. Khan, O. Smith, R. Dhawan, A. Singh, S. Sharma, Rabada, R. Chahar.

CSK XI : R. Gaikwad, Uthappa, M. Ali, Rayudu, R. Jadeja (C), Dhoni (WK), S. Dube, D. Bravo, Pretorius, Theekshana, Deshpande.

I honestly think toss will play a crucial role between the two sides and they need to bat good.
