Spain look to seal top spot as they host Albania

Spain vs Albania
Spain will take on Albania on Friday night in World Cup 2018 qualifiers
Spain are set to play Albania on Friday night in the World Cup 2018 qualifiers as they look for three important points. They go into this game as the favorites.

Kick-off : 8:45 PM (Local)

Venue : Estadio Jose Rico Perez, Alicante

Spain have the benefit in their group as because of their win over Italy last month. Now they are on the verge of qualification with a three point lead over the Italians.

The Spanish have an unbeaten record at home in World Cup Qualifiers. So it will be hard for Albania in this game.

Albania who qualified for last year’s Euro, haven’t been competitive in this group containing Italy and Spain so far.

It should be a good competitive game on Friday night as both sides will give their all.

Team news and possible line-ups

Christian Panucci has a few injury concerns as Albania visit Spain. Thomas Strakosha’s injury will make way for Etrit Berisha. Whereas Armando Sadiku and Sokol Cikalleshi get a call-up for Friday’s game.

Taulant Xhaka will probably be given a start against Spain. Either of Andi Lila or Burim Kukeli will make way for Taulant.

As for Spain, Lopetegui will likely give starts to Pique and Ramos respectively. Alvaro Morata is injured and will likely be rested for this game. Either of Rodrigo or Iago Aspas will likely be given a start in his place.

Dani Carvajal will also be not featuring on Friday as due to injury.

Albania XI : Berisha, Hysaj, Ajeti, Mavraj, Agolli, Xhaka, Lila, Roshi, Hyka, Llullaku, Cikalleshi.

Spain XI : De Gea, Azpilicueta, Pique, Ramos, Alba, Thiago, Busquets, Iniesta, Silva, Aspas, Pedro.

Prediction

While it will not be easy for Spain to win on Friday night but they still go into this game as the favorites. I expect them to win 3-1.
