Real Madrid will play Athletic Bilbao on Sunday in La Liga
Real Madrid will play Athletic Bilbao on Sunday in 2018/19 La Liga as the season nears it’s completion. Los Blancos go into this game as the favourites.

Kick-off : 3:15 PM (Local)

Venue : Santiago Bernabéu, Madrid

Real Madrid drew with Leganes on Monday which will be disappointing. They will now be looking to get back to normal winning ways by playing their brand of football.

Los Blancos are at present third in the points table after 32 games with 61 points. In Athletic Bilbao they have got opponents which will pose difficult challenge but Real Madrid will be confident about themselves.

Real Madrid have their next three games against Getafe, Rayo Vallecano and Villarreal in La Liga.

On the other hand, Athletic Bilbao are doing fine in 2018/19 La Liga but will have hopes of finishing higher at the end of the season. They will need to keep playing positive football.

Athletic Bilbao are currently seventh in the points table after 32 games with 46 points. Against Real Madrid they will have to play out of their skins giving their all and hoping for the best.

Team news and possible line-ups

Mikel San Jose is available for Athletic Bilbao for the Real Madrid game and will likely play.

As for Los Blancos, Thibaut Courtois is available and will likely play.

Athletic Bilbao XI : Herrerin, De Marcos, Alvarez, Martinez, Berchiche, San Jose, Benat, Cordoba, Garcia, Muniain, Williams.

Real Madrid XI : Courtois, Carvajal, Varane, Nacho, Marcelo, Modric, Casemiro, Ceballos, Asensio, Benzema, Vazquez.

Prediction

It should be a good game as both teams will give their all but in the end I expect Real Madrid to get the job done and earn three crucial points. They might win 4-2. The goalscorers might be Modric, Asensio (2) and Benzema for Los Blancos while Muniain and Williams for Athletic Bilbao.
