Chelsea play Bournemouth in Premier League 2022-23 on Tuesday at home

Chelsea take on Bournemouth on Tuesday in Premier League 2022/23 as the season moves ahead. Chelsea come into this game as the favourites.

Kick-off : 5:30 PM (Local)

Venue : Stamford Bridge, London

Chelsea have not had one of their ideal Premier League campaigns thus far and will to win games as they come. The Blues are currently 9th in the points table after 14 games with 21 points. The goal difference is nil.

Chelsea lost to Aston Villa 0-1 in the December friendly. In the Premier League their defending have been ok at times but have been vulnerable as well. Attack wise they have been getting the goals and will have to be clinical.

Manager Graham Potter will likely go with his 3-4-2-1 formation.

On the other hand, Bournemouth are having a poor season and have lost many games. They are currently 14th in the points table after 15 games with 16 points. The goal difference is a -14.

The Cherries lost to Newcastle 0-1 & got eliminated in the EFL Cup Round of 16 tie recently concluded in December. While in the Premier League they have been conceding goals and have to be solid. Attack wise they will need to be more threatening.

Boss Gary O’Neil will go with a 4-4-2 formation on Tuesday.

Team news and possible lineups

Jefferson Lerma and Lloyd Kelly are both doubtful for Bournemouth for the Chelsea game.

While the Blues, themselves have Armando Broja out injured.

Chelsea XI : Mendy, Chalobah, Silva, Koulibaly, James, Jorginho, Gallagher, Cucurella, Mount, Aubameyang, Sterling.

Bournemouth XI : Travers, Smith, Mepham, Senesi, Zemura, Christie, Cook, Lerma, Anthony, Billing, Solanke.

Prediction

I expect Chelsea to be favourites coming into this contest but Bournemouth will not make things easy. A 3-1 success for the Blues in the end.
