Manchester United aim to finish 2017/18 Premier League season on a high

Manchester United vs Watford
Manchester United will play Watford on Sunday in the Premier League
Manchester United are set to play Watford at home on the final day of 2017/18 Premier League. Man United go into this game as the favorites.

Kick-off : 3:00 PM (Local)

Venue : Old Trafford, Manchester

Manchester United drew with West Ham on Thursday away in their Penultimate game of the season. They will not be happy with that. But will be satisfied with the fact that they have secured second spot and Champions League football next season.

The Red Devils does not now face a difficult task on Sunday to finish the Premier League season with a win especially considering they are preparing for the FA Cup final in coming days.

On the other hand, Watford have done pretty well this season and are assured of top flight football for next season.

The Hornets are 13th in the Premier League after 37 games with 41 points. But will have difficulty finishing the season on a high as away against a big club like United means they are up against it.

Man United are ahead on the head to head against Watford by 19-5. Both teams have played out 5 draws.

Team news and possible line-ups

Tommie Hoban, Tom Cleverly, Stefano Okaka, Andre Carrillo, Younes Kaboul and Molla Wague will all be not available for Watford for the weekend game as due to injury. While Sébastian Prodl and Nathaniel Chalobah are both doubtful.

As for Manchester United, Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial are both available and will play. Whereas Romelu Lukaku and Marouane Fellaini will both be unavailable as due to injury.

Watford XI : Karnezis, Janmaat, Cathcart, Kabasele, Holebas, Hughes, Doucoure, Capoue, Pereyra, Grey, Deeney.

Manchester United XI : De Gea, Valencia, Bailly, Lindelof, Young, McTominay, Matic, Pogba, Lingard, Rashford, Sanchez.

Prediction

I expect United to get the job done and earn three points on Sunday. I think they will win 2-0.
