Liverpool eye win against PSG as they begin their 2018/19 UEFA Champions League

Liverpool vs PSG
Liverpool will play PSG on Tuesday night in the Champions League
Liverpool and PSG are set to go head to head on Tuesday night in the UEFA Champions League as both begin their campaigns. Both teams will be looking for a win.

Kick-off : 8:00 PM (Local)

Venue : Anfield, Liverpool

The Reds, runners-up of 2017/18 UEFA Champions League will be eager to go one better this time around as they begin their new campaign on Tuesday night.

Liverpool have Napoli, PSG and Red Star Belgrade in their group, meaning it’s no easy group. But they will definitely give their best and hopefully the results will also be in their favour.

In terms of PSG they have got their toughest test right at the start which means they will be tested in their very first game, meaning no room for error.

On the other hand, PSG too will be eager for success and with the players they have got they have quality at their disposal. Though it’s a tricky group but the French side will be confident of progression.

It’s an away game against mighty Liverpool in which they begin their campaign and they will have to be at the top of their game.

Liverpool and PSG have so far never played each other and it will be the first meeting between the two on Tuesday.

Team news and possible line-ups

Kylian Mbappe is available for PSG for the Tuesday night game and will play. While Layvin Kurzawa is doubtful.

As for Liverpool, Adam Lallana is a doubt.

PSG XI : Areola, Meunier, Silva, Marquinhos, Bernat, Verratti, Diarra, Rabiot, Mbappe, Cavani, Neymar.

Liverpool XI : Alisson, Gomez, Van Dijk, Alexander-Arnold, Robertson, Milner, Henderson, Keita, Salah, Firmino, Mane.

Prediction

It should be a close game between two good sides but I think Liverpool have an edge. I expect them to win 3-2 on Tuesday night.
