India and Oman will go head to head tomorrow in 2022 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers Asia as both teams have high hopes of progressing. Team India will be looking for a win here.

Kick-off : 7:30 PM IST

Venue : Indira Gandhi Athletic Stadium, Guwahati

Team India after showing some promise in this year’s AFC Asian cup will need to have higher goals if they want to be amongst Asia’s best.

Indian team need to show their footballing prowess on the continental level and gather enough points so as to qualify for the World Cup for the first time in history.

It is not an impossible task and can be done given the team harness what goods they have. For the group sake we have a combination of teams.

The group has Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Oman and Qatar in it. We need to come at least 2nd in order to progress.

Afghanistan and Bangladesh are teams against whom India will be fancied. The question remains if we can produce top quality football against the West Asians in Oman and Qatar.

We certainly do need to do it because Asian champions Qatar are a dangerous outfit. And so are Oman. We need to keep track of the two.

In short India will need to play the brand of football that takes the world by surprise and is beneficial in years to come. Good luck to the team.

Hosting Oman in the first game in Guwahati will be a special occasion and the team needs to make it count playing in front of their home crowd.

We need to defend well while be attacking and looking for goals up front. Three points is what we eye.

On the other hand, Oman will too be having dreams of a maiden World Cup appearance.

They are a good side in terms of the Asian standards and need to outplay the bigger sides in Asia more regularly if they aim for a place in the finals.

Against India they have a crucial game in which three points are needed and they will do all they can to execute the game plan to perfection and have success in India.

Their main rivals in this group are team from their own region, 2019 Asian Champions Qatar.

It was a draw the last time these two teams met. India are behind in terms of he head to head against Oman which gives Oman an edge in this one.
