India look to make it 3-0 against weakened SA

India vs South Africa
India will play South Africa in the third ODI on Wednesday
India will play South Africa on Wednesday in the third ODI of the six match series. Team India go into this game as the favorites.

Date and Time : 7th February 2018, 4:30 PM IST

Venue : Newlands, Capetown

India already lead the series 2-0 and will be looking to register another win on Wednesday against the Proteas. India have played well with bat and bowl.

South Africa will definitely be hurt by the absence of few of their top players. After AB de Villiers and Faf du Plessis now Quinton de kock is being ruled out of the series due to injury.

This is now India’s series to loose especially after the start they have got plus the added advantage of the depleted South Africa side.

So far Indian bowlers have done a tremendous job in restricting SA. South Africa will have to bat well in the remaining games if they hope to stop this powerful Indian batting line-up.

The wicket here looks like a high scoring one. The captain who wins the toss will like to bat first. India have won one and lost two ODI’s against South Africa here.

Team news and possible line-ups

Heinrich Klaasen will replace Quinton de Kock in the playing XI for the third ODI for South Africa. While Farhaan Behardien is also likely to play on Wednesday.

As for India, they are likely going to stick with the same playing XI as the last game.

South Africa XI : Klaasen (WK), Amla, Markram (C), Duminy, Behardien, Zondo, Morris, Rabada, M. Morkel, Shamsi, Tahir.

India XI : R. Sharma, Dhawan, Kohli (C), Rahane, Jadhav, Dhoni (WK), H. Pandya, B. Kumar, K. Yadav, Chahal, Bumrah.

Prediction

I expect India to win this game and take a 3-0 lead in the series.
