India look to make it 2-0 in Guwahati

Guwahati T20I
India will play Australia in the second T20I on Tuesday
India is all set to play Australia in the second T20I on Tuesday in Guwahati. India go into this game as the favorites.

Date and time : 10 October 2017, 7:00 PM IST

Venue : Barsapara Cricket Stadium, Guwahati

India having won the ODI series are now in command in the T20I series as well. They at the moment lead the series 1-0.

Australia haven’t really performed at their best on this tour so far and have succumbed to big losses. They will quickly need to improve on that to make a comeback in this T20I series.

Batting wise the Aussies need to score big runs against this Indian side to give their bowlers any chance. Smith’s absence will also hurt them but his replacement Stoinis can do some damage.

In the first game we didn’t get to see much of India’s batting specially that middle order which is a bit shaky. The toss will again be important in this game.

Team news and possible line-ups

Australia will likely play the same XI as in the first game. Although they would want to integrate Stoinis into the line-up.

David Warner will captain Australia in Guwahati.

As for India, They will probably play the same XI as well from the first game. Let’s hope their are no injuries between now and Tuesday.

Virat Kohli will captain the side while MS Dhoni will once again keep the wickets.

Australia XI : Warner (C), Finch, Maxwell, Head, Stoinis, Christian, Paine (WK), Tye, Coulter-Nile, Behrendorff, Zampa.

India XI : Kohli (C), R. Sharma, S. Dhawan, M. Pandey, Jadhav, Dhoni (WK), H. Pandya, B. Kumar, K. Yadav, Chahal, Bumrah.

Prediction

If everything is executed to plan then we might see a series win for the Indians on Tuesday. But Australia are quality opponents, one who can turn around the tables any time. So we will have to wait and see.
