India eye another win in the only T20I

India play SL in only T20I
India play Sri Lanka on Wednesday in the only T20I
India having clean swept Sri Lanka in both the Test and ODI series now look to win T20I series as well. India are the favorites to win on Wednesday.

Date and Time : 6th September 2017, 7:00 PM IST

Venue : R. Premadasa Stadium, Colombo

India put the dents on Sri Lankan hopes of winning at least one ODI in the five match series on Sunday. India beat them comprehensively by 6 wickets and completed a 5-0 whitewash.

T20I is the shortest format of the game and it gives the Lankans an opportunity to salvage some pride. Their batting and bowling might like this format more.

India and Sri Lanka have played 10 Twenty20 Internationals against each other so far, in which India have won six while SL have won four.

Both teams have won T20I World Cup at least once, so they know the format much better. It should be a good contest on Wednesday night.

Team news and possible line-ups

Sri Lanka have called Jeffrey Vandersay, Dasun Shanaka, Suranga Lakmal, Isuru Udana, Seekkuge Prasanna and Vikum Sanjaya to the squad.

While Ashan Priyanjan has been brought in as cover for Milinda Siriwardana, who has complained of a tightness in back and hamstring.

The guys who have been left out are Vishwa Fernando, Kusal Mendis, Dushmantha Chameera, Lakshan Sandakan and Chamara Kapugedera.

Upul Tharanga will captain Sri Lanka on Wednesday and it will be his debut as T20I captain.

On the other hand, India will have KL Rahul and Hardik Pandya back into the playing XI.

Sri Lanka XI : Tharanga (C), Dickwella (WK), Mathews, Munaweera, Hasaranga, S. Prasanna, T. Perera, Lakmal, Malinga, Shanaka, A. Dananjaya.

India XI : Kohli (C), Rohit, K.L. Rahul, M. Pandey, Jadhav, Dhoni (WK), H. Pandya, K. Yadav, B. Kumar, J. Bumrah, Chahal.

Prediction

I think this should be a close game but in the end India wins.
