India eye another ODI series win in Vizag

India vs Sri Lanka
India will play Sri Lanka on Sunday in the series decider of the three match ODI series
India and Sri Lanka are set to play each other on Sunday in the final ODI of the three match series. India go into this game as the favorites.

Date and Time : 17th December 2017, 1:30 PM IST

Venue : Dr. Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium, Visakhapatnam

India after the dominating performance in Mohali will now look to get back to their series winning ways in recent times. They certainly will be very confident going into this one.

Their batters were far superior then their opponents as they piled up a huge total with captain Rohit Sharma scoring his third ODI double hundred.

The Indian bowlers also bowled well and restricted the Sri Lankan batters as they never got any momentum in their innings.

On the other hand, Sri Lanka although were good in the first game but failed miserably in the second game. It will be another sterner test for them on Sunday.

It needs to be seen whether Sri Lanka can take advantage of the situation they are in and get an ODI series win in India.

Team news and possible line-ups

Sri Lanka have plenty to ponder in terms of their playing XI for Sunday’s game. They can include Sadeera Samarawickrama for the final. While Dushmantha Chameera is also waiting in the wings.

As for India, they will probably stick with the same playing XI as in the second ODI.

Sri Lanka XI : Tharanga, Gunathilaka, Thirimanne, Mathews, Dickwella (WK), Gunaratne, T. Perera (C), A. Dananjaya, Pathirana, Chameera, Lakmal.

India XI : R. Sharma (C), Dhawan, S. Iyer, D. Karthik, M. Pandey, Dhoni (WK), H. Pandya, B. Kumar, W. Sundar, Chahal, Bumrah.

Prediction

I expect India to get the job done and clinch the series on Sunday.
